Fourth Meeting

Alajuela, Costa Rica

In 2008, following President Arturo Condo's initiative, the INCAE Founders' Circle is created, with the idea of strengthening ties with Harvard and INCAE's North American community as well as Latin American leaders who made possible the birth of this prestigious institution.

George Cabot Lodge, Professor Emeritus at Harvard, accepted the invitation of President Condo to preside the INCAE Founders' Circle and since its inception has served as Chairman of this important group.

Annual meetings are held since 2008 to celebrate those who laid the foundations of what we know today as the best business school in Latin America and the think tank of greater value in the region.

Third Meeting

Panama City. 2010

The third Founders' Circle meeting took place on July 1, 2010 in Panama City, commemorating the 45 years of the second Advanced Management Program (AMP) at INCAE that was held in the city of Boquete, Panama.

The meeting was hosted by thr Panamanian National Committee represented by Roberto Motta Jr., several members of the Board, and the Presidential Advisory Council. Also attending were a large group of Founders' Circle members, PAG II graduates and family, among other INCAE friends and allies.

"The Founders' Circle is a renewal of the pioneering spirit of INCAE and I feel very honored to participate in such a historic and momentous celebration. When I got to the Montefresco Campus in August 1971, I was considered one of the "juniors" as a member of the research team that wrote cases under great masters such as David Korten, Jim Austin and Harry Strachan." said John Ickis, INCAE Professor and member of the Founders' Circle.

Ickis added, "... my deepest admiration and gratification to these Montefresco pioneers, founders in Antigua, and my research advisor and thesis Chairman, George Cabot Lodge."

Special guests and honorees of the evening were Professor Jim Austin of Harvard, Harry Strachan and Marc Lindenberg +, in the person of Cathy Lindenberg, both Presidents of INCAE.
